What are the different types of air conditioning? How do I know which system is best for my requirements?

With so many options available, it can be overwhelming to decide which one is best for your needs.

There are several types of air conditioning systems available, each with its own unique features and benefits. Our air conditioning services range from installing wall mounts, floor mounts, ducted, ceiling cassette and suspended.

We take into account the size of your home, your budget, and your energy efficiency needs to help you choose the best AC system based on your requirements.

How long does an install take?

This really depends on how many units we are installing. For a typical house, installing a 2.5kw to an upstairs bedroom, we would normally allocate a full day.

Once we quote for the job, we would advise you on how long it would take to install the units so you can make the necessary arrangements.

I’ve heard that air conditioning has several health benefits, is this true?

A great benefit of air conditioning is that it can significantly improve air quality and create a much healthier atmosphere. The units are capable of filtering pollen, dust and other allergens present in the air; it also helps to ventilate your environment.

How often do I need to service my air conditioning system?

The frequency at which you should service your air conditioning system depends on several factors, including the age of the system, how often it is used, and the manufacturer's recommendations.

Generally, it is recommended that you have your air conditioning system serviced at least once a year.

During an air conditioning service an engineer will inspect and clean various components of the system, such as the filters, coils, and condenser, and ensure that everything is working properly. Regular maintenance can help to extend the lifespan of your air conditioning system, improve its efficiency, and prevent potential breakdowns.

If you notice any issues with your air conditioning system, such as decreased performance or strange noises, it's best to have it serviced as soon as possible. Additionally, if you have an older system, you may want to consider having it serviced more frequently to ensure that it is operating safely and efficiently.

What is the difference between a multi-split and split system?

A multi-split operates on a single outdoor system that can be connected to multiple indoor units.

This system is beneficial if you have limited outdoor space however this is the more expensive option, due to the complex design for the refrigerant to flow between the multiple indoor units.

A single-split system operates with one indoor unit connected to one outdoor unit. These systems are more cost effective and can be controlled individually.

In the case of a single-split outdoor unit becoming faulty then only one room loses the air conditioning, whereas with a multi-split, if the outdoor unit fails all the indoor units connected to it will be affected.
